Let's talk about The Wyze Cam V3! So I decided to order 3 Wyze Security Cameras all together 2 of the Cameras I ordered were the Wyze Cam V3 and the last one I ordered is the Wyze Cam Pan V3.

Setting Up The Wyze Cam V3
The setup of the Wyze Cam V3 was A breeze I am so impressed with how easy and fast it was to get them set up! Below I have listed the steps in order of how to set up your Wyze Cam V3.
First and foremost your going to download the Wyze App
Create your Username and Password
Add your device on the wyze App by clicking the plus symbol on your Wyze app and selecting the camera option
Click the Wyze Cam V3 Option
Plug in your Wyze Cam V3 to the outlet make sure the red light is on
once you see the red light is on and is blinking use your phine and select the next button on the Wyze app
Pull the base away from the Wyze Cam V3 and press the set up button on the bottom of the Wyze cam V3
when you hear the camera say ready to connect the Wyze app your going to press the I Heard "Ready to connect" button and then click next
Type in your Wifi and password on the Wyze App
When you see the QR Code pop up on your phone screen Your going to take your Wyze Cam V3 and point it at the QR Code on your phone screen (Be sure to hold it about 3inches away from your screen when doing this)
once you hear the camera say QR Code scanned then you click next on your Wyze App
when you see the blue light at the top of your Wyze cam V3, Your Wyze Cam V3 is officially set up and recording.
After you complete setup your phone will give you the option to name your device and if an update is available then it will ask you to update to the newest Firmware
Wyze Cam V3 Features
One of the features I love about the Wyze Cam V3 is the Starlight Sensor, the color night vision, and how versatile it is when it comes to using it indoors or outdoors! These are three features that really attracted me to wanting to try the security cameras out! The wyze cam V3 also detects motion, has 2-way audio, and is also compatible with Alexa and Google assistant.
Comparing the different Wyze Subscription Plans Vs. Not Getting A Subscription
The thing I love about Wyze is that you do not have to have A subscription to use the Wyze Cam V3! You will have to have an SD card though if you want to use it without the subscription and still be able to use the playback feature and you won't get all the cool features that comes with the subscriptions but the camera still functions the way A normal security camera should without A subscription! But Wyze has very affordable Subscription plans which I love especially because not everyone can afford to pay high prices for A security camera! so let's talk about the different Wyze Subscriptions which I have listed below.
Cam Plus: Includes unlimited recording, person detection, pet detection, vehicle detection, and package detection. It costs $2.99 per month, or $19.99 per year. There is also a Cam Plus Lite option that allows users to name their price for basic features.
Cam Plus Pro: Includes unlimited full-length video recording, object identification, and sound-triggered alerts. This Subscription cost
Cam Protect: Includes AI-powered security features. This Subscription costs $3.99 per month, or $39.99 A year.
Wyze Home Monitoring System: Costs $8.33 per month. This is the ultimate package of the Wyze Cam Subscriptions and includes everything that all of the other Wyze cam subscriptions include plus professional monitoring.
But Remember as we discussed above there are no mandatory Subscriptions or monthly fees for the Wyze Cam these are all optional!
Does the Wyze Cam V3 Come With A Subscription When You First Purchase It?
When you first get your Wyze Cam V3 it comes with 3 months free of Cam Plus which is activated upon completion of the Wyze Cam V3 setup.
Is The Wyze Cam V3 A great Outdoor Security Camera?
The Wyze Cam V3 was made to be used as an indoor or outdoor security camera and actually works very well outdoors! The Wyze Cam V3 was made with ip65 Weather resistant so it is made to with stand the outdoor elements and is the perfect camera for outdoor security.
Is the Wyze Cam V3 Wired or Wireless?
The Wyze Cam V3 is A wired security camera meaning it does have to be plugged into an outlet. In my opinion I prefer A wired camera over A wireless camera only because you are not constantly changing batteries and to me all of the features are alot better on A wired Security Camera including the Audio, and picture quality.
What is the Video quality of the Wyze Cam V3?
The video quality is 1080p HD and after setting up my Wyze cam V3 the picture quality was actually a lot clearer then what I thought it would be! You can literally see everything! The Wyze Cam V3 also features Full color Night Vision an all-new Starlight Sensor records night time video in full, vivid color. The Starlight Sensor can see full color in environments up to 25x darker than traditional video cameras and the new f/1.6 aperture captures 2x more light. After trying out my Wyze Cam V3 at night I can honestly say the color and quality are actually really great!
Does The Wyze Cam V3 Security Camera work with Alexa and Google Assistant?
Yes the Wyze Cam V3 Security Camera works great with Alexa and Google assistant A while back I bought the Echo Show 15 from Amazon and when I set up my Wyze cam V3 I also paired it to my Echo Show 15! When you pair it to the Echo Show 15 you can see your live cam feed from the Echo Show 15 and you will also receive real-time motion detection and sound detection notifications to your Echo Show 15! The video quality on the Echo Show 15 is amazing it is completely clear!
What happens if you don't get A subscription for your Wyze Cam V3?
As I mentioned above you do not have to have A subscription for your Wyze Cam V3 and I did test out Using the Subscription Service Vs. Not having A Wyze Cam Subscription and the only difference is you just don't get all of the extra features that comes with those subscriptions. The Wyze cam V3 will still function as A normal security camera. If you choose not to get the subscription you will need to get an SD card to be able to record your live camera feed and play it back later which I highly recommend just in case you need to use the playback feature for any reason because it comes in handy.
What Kind of SD Card Should You Get For Your Wyze Cam V3?
If your not going to use the Wyze Subscription and want to know what kind of Sd Card To buy or If you want An SD Card as a back up option the best SD Card to purchase is the Wyze SD Card. They are very affordable and come in 35GB, 128GB, and 256GB you can also purchase these on Amazon for the best price and the fastest shipping in my opinion. I purchased the 35GB Wyze SD Card and it has worked great for my video storage needs.
